Smart Notebook (https://www.smarttech.com/Products/Education-Software/SMART-Learning-Suite)

This is a slideshow/powerpoint like program that allows the user to create interactive presentations. This program does take some practice to use it effectively, but this time spent is well worth it. Smart notebook is great for creating presentations where students can see and/or manipulate concepts they are learning.

Here is a pdf version of a Smart Notebook presentation I made about the phases of the moon.

Google Slides (https://www.google.com › slides)

This is program is user friendly and is a great tool for both teachers and students. Teachers can use google slides to quickly create lessons, that give a visual component to keep students engaged. Students can use google slides to create presentations that show knowledge on a specific topic. Google slides also has some interesting add-ons and extensions like poll everywhere, that allows assessment techniques to be incorporated into a presentation.

Here is a pdf version of a google slides I made on Bullying. I actually taught this lesson as a follow up for Pink Shirt Day.

PowerPoint (https://www.microsoft.com/en-ca)

This is another great presentation tool, that has more customization options than google slides. Powerpoint is similar to google docs as it is another tool that can be used to illustrate topics, using engaging visuals and text. Also, the size of slides can be altered to create posters!

Here is a pdf version a poster I made using PowerPoint. It discusses the value of taking omega 3-fatty acids in supplement form.

Here is a pdf version a powerpoint I made about different types of clouds (Grade 5 sky science).
