Visual Tools

Draw.io (https://www.draw.io)

This is a google owned tool that allows the users to create flowcharts, diagrams, and other chart like visuals. You can choose one of their many templates, or build your own creation. It has great share-ability, making it easy to use in the classroom for students and teachers.

Here is a diagram I made using draw.io about the benefits of this program.

Thinglink (https://www.thinglink.com/)

This is a app that allows the user to annotate pictures or videos. It includes lots of awesome tag markers that can be used to show what you are trying highlight in a certain video or image. This app would be great to use  as a project where students have to label an object or place

Here is a think to a thinglink that I made with a classmate (Malak Abdullah), where we annotated a map of the MHC campus to show our favourite places. We also added some other places around Medicine Hat where we enjoy spending our free time. Favourite Places in Medicine Hat & MHC

Google Sites (https://sites.google.com)

This is a great G Suite app that is extremely user friendly and is used to make websites. There are some limitations in terms of colours and fonts, but the ones to choose from are effective and aesthetically pleasing anyways. For classroom purposes, google sites is a great tool to organize and store information. Students can make a website on a research topic or as a way to organize a unit review.

Here is a google site I made to highlight a portfolio I created for KNEW 281. This portfolio includes many engaging gym class games.

Here's the link of you want to check it out!
